Which seems like a dead zone, so where is everyone?

Long time ago, this was a forum with some funny people around having fun about UrT.

Unfortunately I haven't mantained gameservers of this game anymore, and the only live one is a 4.1 version on Germany, which some people still plays.

I can't guarantee a return on the scene due to... work, and life, mostly. But I still remember this site and his people with love, and it will be alive during the next years if possible, just because its part of me =)

Yeah, those days are gone. I am not playing UrT anymore for the last 5 years. People move on with their lives. So do i.

But i remember how the guys (and gals) provides me much amount of fun and laugh back then. It helps me with my depression a bit.

Indeed, I guess most of us don't play anymore. But sometime I fire up the game to see what's going on (the latest version), and is good to remember that times.

I have been working a lot on the past months on several projects. Recently I've been doing some "teaching" related to my development and administration work for a client.

It has been hard because it was an unexpected change of pace after a long time.

How is life going for you guys?

Heeeyyy,

i recently saw BilbleBlack on a 4.3 Server with his TLWS Tag. Didn't knew the Germany TDM Server is still alive. Connected a few times, but there were only Bots...

Hope to see you Guys again soon. Miss the fun times back in the days with nice people!
I will try to connect to the server from time to time to see if there may be some familiar faces.

On 4.3? Mostly Sexy's CTF and sometimes BST TDM. I played on a nice survivor server, but i can't find it again...
The time always depends on my daily schedule, but mostly in the evening and late at night(CET).

Yes, the Germany server is still alive, but because it's a 4.1 server, nobody plays that anymore, lol.

But you are free to use it when you want =)

Do you think it's still worth it to consider running a server with the latest version? No idea how has been recently the population for this game.

Well, unfortunately it seems like the project and servers are almost dead.

From frozensand side, there isn't anything particularly exciting. Despite that, there are some devs still working on this.

But about players, it doesn't seem a very active game anymore. Probably Durandal has better/more-accurate news?

I am not a reliable source of information =P

I was aware of urstats, a nice website, but seems a dead project too. Despite that, it still collects stats from servers, but I am not sure if it has the most recent lists/versions.

Hey, Boss. 4.3 servers are quite active. Just started playing again few months ago and I was surprised with the number of active players. I spot a few old players here and there. But yeah, there are quite a few number of active servers with a decent amount of player traffic. You might wanna look into that. As BibleBlack said...TLWS FOREVER

I was talking with Durandal some days ago that I found new responses to this thread, and went to fix the broken things with the site, but forgot to answer =(

I am really happy to know that you are still around, and you remember us. I am still around too, doing other stuff, working hard, sometimes playing other games, but I am here and grateful with you for the old times.

I want to let you know that I am here if I can help you somehow, even reading whatever you want to throw while we get out of the hard times.

This site will be running, as I said before, as long as I can while being alive =)

Coworkers being stomped by my quick reaction times with mouse and keyboard (quick-scoping in UrT was a very good school

brought me back here, saw this post, had to answer
Glad to see you guys are doing well and so many are still looking back here

regarding activeness of UrT, checking the Server-stats from urbanterror.info (https://www.urbanterror.info/servers/list/), it still seems to be doing well (especially compared to other games back from that area)
Maybe I have to revisit this game again, barely am playing anymore now due to work & life

Currently I am not that familiar with the developing of UrT, but as you said, indeed there is some niche playerbase having fun there on 4.3!

I like to use this website to track some stats http://www.urtstats.net/ it's good to know that it's still alive =)

And as you said uber, work and life have been absorbing the time and moving the priorities, but yes, I would love to revisit the game and see what has been changing during this time =)

Hey! Just tried and logged on the game last night. Was pleasantly surprised to see some people still playing this game. Just got off a good game with Goose a while ago (he still cheats, btw

). Man, I miss this place and miss the people. Brought back some good memories. Fun times!
